DBA 4000 Series T3 brake rotors are a high-performance, yet direct replacement for factory brake rotors. They are suitable for everyday use, as well as for track days, or where greater braking effect is required. The 4000 Series T3 rotors are cast from high-carbon alloy steel and then heat-stabilised to withstand extreme and repeated mechanical and thermal stress. Maximum effective ventilation is provided by the patented Kangaroo Paw cooling system. It is a system of channels where air traces the shape of a kangaroo paw. In addition to increasing the effective heat dissipation area by up to 20%, this system provides more consistent support for the active disc surface.

Surface Design
Symmetrical grooving and/or drilling removes brake dust and gases from the disc surface for quieter operation and greater pedal feel
- Anti-Corrosion Treatment
All surfaces outside the friction area are painted to protect against corrosion and external influences. Furthermore, this treatment enhances the disc's appearance.
- Bi-Directional Grooving
Symmetrical grooving or drilling of the disc allows for universal fitment on both left and right sides. Discs that structurally require specific side mounting are visibly marked.
- Temperature Stabilisation During Production
Heat treatment and hardening of the steel during production modifies its internal molecular structure, increasing the disc's resistance and stability.
- Thermal Efficiency
Centre castings are offset from the disc's friction surface to improve heat transfer.
- CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride)
The disc surface is created using CBN technology, whose blade is the second hardest material after diamond. This achieves maximum precision with minimal deviation in material thickness, which could cause premature wear.
- HEAT-INDICATING COLOUR MARKS
Coloured marks on the disc circumference change shade based on thermal stress. The temperature the disc has been exposed to can be monitored by the specific colour change.
- HIGH-CARBON STEEL
Alloyed high-carbon steel is used to manufacture the 4000 Series discs, which, after heat stabilisation, is able to repeatedly withstand extreme thermal stress.
- KANGAROO PAW (Kangaroo Paw)
Unique patented assembly of internal support modules shaped like a kangaroo paw. This internal construction provides a larger surface area for airflow and up to 20% better heat dissipation, improving braking power and extending the life of the brake segments.
