Forge Motorsport Enlarged Turbo Inlet for Hyundai i30N

The modernised version of the Hyundai i30N has been given a larger turbocharger, which further enhances the usability of the enlarged turbo inlet. The new turbo requires even more air, and after modifying the car's control unit to Stage 1 or Stage 2, the resulting effect of the enlarged inlet is even greater than in the previous version.

The turbo inlet consists of a turbocharger flange designed using Solidworks CAD software and made of aluminium, and a silicone reducer coupling in the selected colour. This part completely replaces the original restrictive aluminium turbo inlet pipe and fully unlocks the potential of the sports 4" intake system.

WARNING: the enlarged turbo inlet can only be combined with sports intakes with 4" piping.

In conjunction with our Forge Motorsport intake FMINDK28, simply replacing this adapter resulted in a power increase of 10 bhp.

All tests were performed on Maha measuring equipment, which is also used by the BMW M or Mercedes-Benz divisions. Measurements were taken on a car with the bonnet closed and at a simulated wind speed of 70 MPH. Despite this, the intake air temperature did not exceed 30°C.

This Forge Motorsport adapter helps driving performance in several ways. It supplies the turbocharger with more air, which can be compressed by the turbocharger, improving vehicle acceleration, especially after braking and re-applying the throttle, or between gear changes.

The air capacity of this adapter is more than 150% greater than the stock part! In addition to improved acceleration, this difference also results in a more pronounced induction sound.

The adapter can be used in combination with a Forge Motorsport sports intake system or another 4" diameter intake system. The adapter is not compatible with the stock Hyundai intake. The installation itself is very easy and usually takes no more than 45 minutes.
