Forge Motorsport intercooler for Hyundai i30N Facelift

Following the success of the Forge intercooler for the previous Hyundai i30N version, it was certain that an intercooler would also be introduced for the facelifted i30N version. Hyundai has changed the turbocharger in the facelift model, which now achieves higher boost pressure and has an enlarged air duct. Replacing the intercooler now offers an even greater benefit than in the previous version.

The Forge Motorsport intercooler maintains a low intake air temperature, preventing the engine control unit from limiting power. If you use your Hyundai i30N on the race track during track days or for very fast road driving, replacing the intercooler is a crucial modification. The Forge Motorsport intercooler design uses a bar-and-plate core in combination with cast inputs designed using Solidworks CAD and CFD software for fluid dynamics.

The volume of the core itself is 129% larger than the original and the frontal area of the cooler is 71% larger, making the Forge intercooler the largest intercooler for the i30N on the market. The intercooler also features integrated diffusers to direct air directly onto the core.

The intercooler inlet and outlet have increased to 65 mm, representing a 27% increase for perfect airflow. This is complemented by solid hardpipe routing with a diameter of 64 mm (14 mm larger than the factory piping). Like the intercooler, this routing is supplied in black with a texture.

As you can see from the dyno results below, power was increased from 358 BHP with the basic intercooler and intake to 381.2 BHP and 503 Nm of torque with the installed Forge Motorsport parts.
