In-line oil thermostat HEL Performance Solid Billet. Manufactured from 6082-T6 Billet Aluminum by HEL in the United Kingdom.
The oil thermostat is designed to be mounted on the oil pipes that run to and from the external oil cooler. It is an ideal solution for vehicles that use an oil drain plate as opposed to a conventional sandwich plate oil filter.
The thermostat allows the engine oil to bypass the oil cooler until the oil reaches the required temperature. This allows for faster warm-up and extra protection in cold environments compared to a non-thermostatic sandwich plate. If the oil temperature drops, the thermostat will close again, allowing the oil to stay at its optimum temperature.
The -10 AN inlet and outlet ports allow the use of -8 AN and -10 AN adapters.
Thermostat options of 82 °C or 92 °C give you even better control over the oil temperature.
