You may be asking what the small tube is on our Resonator Delete? The small tube is a Helmholtz resonator. In an exhaust system, the Helmholtz will be a container of gas (usually air) with an open hole (neck or port) leading into the resonator. The volume of air/gas in and near the open hole vibrates due to the 'elasticity' of the air/gas inside. A common example is an empty bottle: the air inside vibrates when you blow across the top!

What is Drone?

Drone is the point at which the exhaust sound resonates in the cabin, creating a noise that most drivers dislike, so the decibels and frequencies may vary slightly depending on the driver and the car. That's why we created Anti Drone Resonator Deletes. When removing a standard resonator, you are paying the difference between someone who wants to give you a pipe and throw it on the car, and a company that designed a product for a specific job, who took the time to research, develop and test to make the product the best it can be!​

This is because if you are driving in a car for a short journey, then for most drivers a bit of sporty noise isn't bad, but if you are driving for a long time, then you don't want the vehicle to resonate in the cabin.
