This rear silencer is a racing alternative to the type-approved silencer. The difference lies in the distinct internal construction, aiming for an even sportier and more aggressive sound for true track enthusiasts and more extroverted owners. Consequently, this part is not type-approved as it exceeds the noise limit with the valve open, thus bearing a 'racing' designation. The remaining information is the same as for the type-approved part. For maximum utilization of the system's mechanical potential and independence from the selected on-board mode, we recommend purchasing external sound control.
This fully HOMOLOGATED system has been professionally tuned in an acoustic chamber. This guarantees you will enjoy a more attractive and fuller sound than the original system, while remaining 100% legal and without any impact on comfort. You will also meet all noise limits even with the flap open (which is, after all, part of the homologation process). Thanks to the aforementioned sound tuning in the acoustic chamber, we can also guarantee that the sound will never become annoying, even on longer journeys. It's simply a professional product developed and tuned in Austria to fit the i20N by the same team of engineers who develop systems directly for car manufacturers such as AMG, Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, McLaren or Porsche. The exhaust system has absolutely no impact on emissions or the emission system as such, and you don't have to worry about voiding the vehicle's warranty. The sound control system is retained via the on-board computer using the original electric motor and original wiring, meaning no change for the user. However, to maximize the potential of the exhaust system, we also recommend purchasing our external sound control, which allows you to control the flap as needed using a wireless controller. This will further maximise the sound of your system.
